What is a Fungus??

I learned that a mushroom is a fungi, and it has gills, a cap, and a stem. There is a "thread" which is a individual thread called hypha and the network of hypha is called a myclium. The mycelium is known as the vegitative part of the fungus. A fungus is an organism in the kingdom FUNGI. Fungi were treated as plants at first , but people learned more about fungi and made it, its own kingdom. Mushrooms, molds, smuts, yeasts, and lichens are all classified in the fungus kingdom.
